Is bombay a bramble gin
Tried it once and poured the entire new bottle down the drain. Shook some up in a shaker with ice, strained into a chilled cocktail glass, garnished with raspberries and blackberries on a stick.
I find that it pairs well with any and all citrus— even an Evans Gin and Tonic works well here. Bombay Bramble takes the thing that made Pink Gins so popular— the berry flavor— and elevates the concept. It is perfectly transparent.
Bombay Bramble - Blackberry and Raspberry Gin
Just ran into this at my local Kroger. Zero stars. While cognitively a bit surprising to taste literal berries, absolutely devoid of any sweetness, it works well. Cocktails Bombay Bramble is perfectly designed for the summer Gin and Tonic. However, I think the balance, the presence of gin and gin botanical on the nose and palate positions Bombay Bramble to be more than just part of the fad.
Pink gin is all grown up. Color: Deep reddish pink, almost suggestive of magenta or cranberry juice. Aroma: Tart and berry forward with heavy aromas of currant. Early, cranberry. I recommend a sweeter tonic , because the sweetness causes those berry flavors to swell into something brighter and more literally— peak summer. Finish: Dry and un-sweet raspberry preserves with a hint of spice. I also suggest swapping Bombay Bramble into cocktails where you might have used Sloe Gin previously.
Used Fever Tree elderflower tonic. You mention that dry vermouth does not naturally go with this gin—would you suggest, then, making something along the lines of a Martinez, that is, using sweet vermouth?

This is awful stuff. Tasting Notes Color: Deep reddish pink, almost suggestive of magenta or cranberry juice. Add half vodka with half bramble in a cosmo. Angelica and hints of spice round things out and give Bombay Bramble a vague impression of its source material. Flavor Profile Pink gin is all grown up. Flavor: Bombay Bramble is tart and rather dry, with clear gin character.
Bombay Bramble is all the berries you need. Recommended in its category. Clearly, bartenders should treat Bombay Bramble as a specialty gin. Bombay Bramble is perfectly designed for the summer Gin and Tonic. Really good too.
Gin bramble
The higher proof means it can be applied in a Martini , but Dry Vermouth is not a natural compliment. Extreme chemical taste taht bears no resemblance to blackberries or raspberries. Avoid super savory applications like the Very Dirty Martini or the Gibson. Is amazing! Mid-palate, juniper, tart raspberry jam, coriander and a hint of lemon zest.
It works well enough in a Negroni.
